Rants and Ramblings

This is just a conglomeration of the last week-starting with Sunday.

Went to Pizza Inn on Sunday night as usual. Had to get cottage cheese off the salad bar with tongs :( It was really busy there. When the waitress finally got around to us, she just sat down and cried. Her manager had just cussed her out and told her that he would make sure that she did not get the promotion she was up for. She's actually one of the hardest workers there. We felt really sorry for her. She's always so nice. When we left, Spencer figured out why the manager was in such a bad mood. The food inspector was there...........

Tuesday: I feel like I'm living in the Rio Grande Valley again. It's in the high 90's with an over abundance of humidity. It made me irritated because as I was driving, I could only get the heat index and not the real temperature. The news media always has to make things as bad as they can. Went swimming at my in-laws with Amy and Johnny.

Wednesday: Took Zach to an allergist. It was an early appointment at a place about 35 minutes away. We waited in the waiting room for an hour and were in the exam room for 2 hours. That was fun with three little ones. Zach was tested for asthma--a test he enjoyed. Thankfully he does not have asthma. He also had a skin test for allergies. That was when all the sorrow broke loose. Zach really cried, which made Brittany cry, which made Sierra cry. Brittany was really broken hearted for her poor brother. I think she was also afraid that she was in for the same test. We now know a lot of things that Zach is allergic to in addition to peanuts. Hopefully, we can help him so his eczema will clear up. He really cried as hard as when he had the skin test when he found out he is allergic to beef. He thought that he could not eat steak any more. The doctor said that he can occasionally have it since he is not severely allergic to it.

Most people do not outgrow peanut allergies. The beef allergy won't bother him too badly, and no, he's definitely not allergic to sweet tea.
