A verse that I saw differently the other day.

Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you.
Sometimes God seems to be far away, but a lot of times it's us that has moved. The Bible says that if we draw close to Him, He will draw close to us.
It's one of those common sense things that I just jumped over. Maybe you haven't.

funny how we tend to jump over verses instead of landing on them and actually meditating on what God wants us to glean from them. thanks for the attention to this verse. i needed it. it's so true. God's Word. True.

My youth director would always repeat a story (maybe you have heard one similar) that went like this:

There was an old married couple that was driving down the road when they say a young couple pass them in the next lane. They were cuddled up together in the front seat as they drove down the road. The older lady, sitting in the passenger seat all they way up against the passenger door, said "I rememeber when we use to be romantic and cuddled together as you drove down the road... now look at us!".

The old man sat there silently for a moment... and then replied:

"I'm still sitting in the same place now as I did then..."

Aren't we that way with the Lord? I know I am!
